Elsmere Fire Company

Just after 14:00hrs today, Station 16 along with mutual aide units were dispatched to the 1000blk of S. Grant Ave for a house fire. Engine 16, Ladder 16, the Chief and Deputy all made the response. Engine and Ladder 16 arrived to find smoke showing. Crews preformed their pre-designated tasks and found a kitchen fire. Fire was quickly extinguished and the kitchen was opened up and checked for extension. Searches proved negative. *PSA to all citizens: If the fire department is operating and hose is in the street, please do not run it over to get by. Two different departments suffered damaged hose by this at this incident.*
