Elsmere Fire Company

This afternoon (July 21st) at roughly 14:30hrs, Tower 16 made the response to the 1800 block of Sheldon Dr to assist the Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Co. of Newark on a multi-residential structure fire. Units arrived with smoke showing from the 3rd floor. Tower 16 arrived as the 2nd due special and began a primary search of floors 3 and 4, while the Tower operator went to the roof and also ventilated. A second alarm was requested and Squrt 16 made the response, while clearing a cover assignment on the eastside (due to an earlier fire). The crew of Squrt 16 preformed searches of the exposure buildings and secondary searches of the main fire building. All searches proved negative. Crews operated for just over 2 hours.
