Around 02:30 Saturday morning, station 16 was dispatched for the Tower to assist Station 17 on a reported building fire in the 500 block of Homestead Rd in Alban Park. Engine 17 arrived on scene with fire showing from the second floor, side C. Tower 16 arrived on scene as the first due special tasked with searches of the fire floor as well as ventilation. Tower 16’s crew split, 3 inside for the search 2 outside for ventilation. Tower 16’s inside team worked with Engine 17 to locate and extinguish a back bedroom fire. Tower 16 operator vertically ventilated the roof. Crews operated for approximately 2 hours until being cleared.
