Elsmere Fire Company

On Saturday night, March 23rd, 2024, The Elsmere Fire Company celebrated their 103rd Anniversary with an appreciation party and banquet. The MC for the night was President Michael Wiktorowicz Sr., and the invocation and benediction were given by Rev. Brad Martin, Chaplain of the Wilmington Fire Department.

Dinner was prepared by LaChateau Gourmet and served by the Good Will Fire Company Auxiliary. Afterward, service awards and commendations were given out to both the Auxiliary and the Firefighters and Members.

On the Auxiliary side, Deb Wilson was named the member of the year, and Jayde Cox received the President’s Award. On the Fire side, Anthony Facciolo received his 20-year pin and Life Membership. Nancy Brannock received her 25-year ring. Jimmy Calhoun, Guy Clark, Gary Beattie, Robin Gray, and Donald Welsh were recognized for 50 years of service. John Rossiter was in attendance and received his 65-year pin.

The Michael R. Schaal Member of the Year was awarded to President Michael Wiktorowicz Sr. for the countless hours he puts in and his dedication to the fire service. President Wiktorowicz also presented Recording Secretary Heather Facciolo with the President’s Award for her hard work and dedication to the company over the years.

After the awards, everyone enjoyed a night of dancing and fun. A special thank you goes to our bartenders, Jimmy Scholl and Don Eastburn, who served our members throughout the night.
