Elsmere Fire Company

On Thursday January 12th, Tower 16 responded to the 3200blk of Champions Dr of Fairway Falls Townhouses for a report of a townhouse on fire. Crews from Mill Creek, Cranston Heights, Elsmere and Christiana arrived to find heavy fire showing from a 3 story middle of the row townhouse. While crews were operating there was a collapse of the second floor into the first floor. A MAYDAY was declared for 4 firefighters that fell through the floor. All 4 members were quickly removed from the structure and treated and transported to the local trauma center for minor injuries. Crews remained on scene for several hours to extinguish the fire and hit hot spots.
