I joined the fire service at the age of 15 in August of 2000 as a junior member of the Elsmere Fire Co. In the fall of that year, I started taking some required training classes, and learning the equipment and apparatus that the fire company had at the time. Over the last 19 years, I have completed over 900 hours of training with the Delaware State Fire School, as well as completing Incident Command classes with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and becoming a NREMT-B in 2013. In 2006 I began to work my way through the ranks with the Elsmere Fire Co, and have been elected to serve as the fire chief in 2017 to this present day. I have worked in the sheet metal and HVAC business, as well as assisted in managing a warehouse with a moving and storage company. However, on January 15th, 2018 I was hired as a full time Firefighter/EMT with the Christiana Fire Co. It has been a personal goal and dream of mine to be in this position, and I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity.
